10 Everyday Products We Love And Why You’ll Love Them Too

There’s something reassuring about a list of tried‑and‑tested favorites. When someone shares products they’ve actually used and loved, you know you’re getting the benefit of their real‑world experience. I’ve always appreciated those kinds of recommendations because they’ve helped me discover things I might never have found on my own. Today, I am sharing items we have loved in our home that are also tried and tested, and I hope you will find something useful in this list. (Click on title or image for link)

#1 Puzzle Board/Toy Board

Do you enjoy working on large puzzles together as a family? We don’t break out a big puzzle as often as I’d like—aside from our Christmas tradition. Last year, I purchased a puzzle board that made puzzles so much more manageable. I found one on Amazon last year, and it’s honestly one of our best purchases. It keeps our living room space clear while we spend days working on it. When we are not using them for puzzles, the board doubles as a Lego workspace, complete with drawers to sort and organize the tiny pieces my Lego-loving kid uses for his 1,000‑piece creations. No matter which toy set they are playing with, this board makes it easy to sort and organize all the little pieces.

#2 Book Tracking Journal

Over the years I’ve tried countless reading logs to get the kids to jot down book titles, authors, and notes—but keeping track of all those details takes passion and dedication they don’t have. This simple book journal solves our problem. All it requires is a list of books and a 1–5 star rating. This is such a great way for your kids to keep track of the books they read without needing to write a mini book report, and it allows me to see their favorites at a glance.

#3 First Aid Kit

I discovered this compact versatile first aid kit through Brighter Day Press, and now it comes with us everywhere: vacations, hikes, day trips, sports practice—you name it. It is a great staple to have in your car for emergencies. This also doubles down as a great gift that I recently gifted to my aunt, who loved it.

#4 Moroccan Oil

Moroccan Oil is the one hair product I’ve consistently used for fifteen years. It smooths out frizz and makes my curls softer and more defined. On days when I’m home, a few drops on my damp hair is all I need to keep it healthy and manageable during the day. And did I mention it makes your hair smooth?

#5 Summer Dress

I picked up this summer dress about a month ago and have worn it everywhere since. It’s light and comfortable in our hot Maryland summer, and it comes in lots of colors and patterns. If you’re looking for a versatile piece, this one is worth a look.

#6 Multi-Function Pen

Last Christmas this multi-tool pen was a popular stocking stuffer. I originally bought it for my husband, who never used it—so I claimed it for myself. It functions as a stylus for the iPad, a tiny screwdriver (perfect for kids’ toy batteries!), a regular pen, a bubble level, an LED flashlight, a ruler—which I surprisingly reach for often—and a bottle opener. It’s my mini toolbox on the go.

#7 Garage Organizer

Our boys have so many outdoor toys that the garage was becoming a mess. Things were tossed everywhere because we did not have a designated place. We needed a quick fix and found an affordable solution that took less than an hour to assemble. Now everything has a place and the garage looks orderly. Worth every penny.

#8 Art Book

If you do a lot of art projects with your kids, consider buying each child their own sketchbook to keep everything together. I like that it avoids the guilt of tossing art out while keeping drawings organized. Whenever inspiration strikes, they can add to their personal collection, and it’s fun to flip through and see their progress.

#9 Storage Bags for Lego

If you have Lego lovers, these storage bags are a lifesaver. They’re designed to hold a set’s pieces and even have a spot for the instruction booklet. They’re versatile enough for other toys too, but we mostly use them for keeping individual Lego sets organized and easy to find.

#10 Pencil Sharpener

We stretched the life of our mechanical sharpener for far too long. Then I finally ordered a new one—this pretty desktop sharpener—and I can’t tell you how satisfying it is to use. It sharpens pencils and colored pencils perfectly, and it has made art time so much more pleasant.

It’s amazing how reliant we’ve become on Amazon to meet all our needs, from small tools to the things that make daily life run more smoothly. A quick search can solve most problems. I hope you found something useful on this list.
