Before kids, I wrote a blog called Freestyle Blog. It was pretty much about anything and everything under the sun. So when I was looking for a name for this website, I thought, why not keep part of that name? That is how Freestyle Mom came to be.

In many ways, I still write about a little bit of everything, but now through the lens of motherhood, faith, home, learning, and family life. I write about the things I am learning, the resources I am discovering, and the topics that matter to me as a mom. 

I spend many hours reading, researching, and listening to podcasts so I can be better write from a place of experience and awareness. Motherhood is a gift, but it is also hard. We all have difficult days, and we cannot do it on our own. My greatest strength comes from spending time in God’s Word and praying over the things I cannot control.

I believe parenting is a unique and personal experience too. There is no one-size-fits-all approach, and every family has its own story, rhythm, challenges, and joys. Whether you are a stay-at-home mom, a working parent, a homeschooling family, a public school family, or anything in between, you are welcome here.
